Longtime Reno Radxio Personality Steve Smith has died. Smith passed away June 3, 2017 at age 70.

According to his family, Smith was born and raised in Southern California. He graduated with a theater degree from Cal State Fullerton.

He worked in radio most of his adult life, jumping from station to station until landing at Reno's KOZZ 105.7 FM from 1987-2012; he was the morning drive host.

Smith was a contributor to local charities through multiple radio stunts. He was also a member of the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
