'Rare Country' Taps Phyllis Stark As Senior Content Editor

Cox Media Group’s Rare Country has tapped veteran music journalist Phyllis Stark as its Senior Content Editor, responsible for leading Rare Country’s editorial team in Nashville. In this newly created position, Stark will direct editorial strategy and shape original content for RareCountry.com, contributing across all Rare Country platforms. Effective today, Stark can be reached at Phyllis@rare.us.

In addition to her role at Rare Country, Stark will continue to write her weekly “Stark Report” column for Billboard Country Update. She has authored the column, also published on Billboard.biz, since 2013. Prior to that, she served as Billboard’s Nashville bureau chief and senior editor.

Phyllis Stark is a Nashville-based entertainment journalist who has been reporting extensively on country music and the Nashville music industry for more than two decades.
