WWOne Presents Pop/Rock Specials for Labor Day Weekend

Tantrums
Westwood One is making the most out of summer’s last days with two four-hour Labor Day specials -- hosted by pop artist Troye Sivan and rock band Fitz and the Tantrums – that will keep the summer hits pumping overtime during the holiday weekend.

The Pop/Take the Day Off and Rock/Labor Day Pool Party both wind down the summer and share highlights of the summer of 2016, along with all the music that’s a must for every end-of-summer playlist.

Troye Sivan
Troye Sivan is an artist for his generation, his message triumphant, hailed by The New York Times as a “prototype for tomorrow’s global pop star,” Troye Sivan carries a meaningful message as showcased in his latest single “Wild” featuring Alessia Cara, and accompanying MTV VMA nominated trilogy videos “Wild”, “Fools” and “Talk Me Down,” which have racked up an astonishing 43 million + views. Named one of TIME Magazine’s most influential teens, Troye will kick off the second North American leg of his world tour on October 16 in support of his RIAA certified-Gold debut album Blue Neighbourhood . The fall run will include two-nights at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles and Terminal 5 in New York City.

Fitz and the Tantrums made a splash with the soulful R&B-revival sound of their debut album, 2010’s Pickin’ Up The Pieces (released on Dangerbird Records), and then offered up a New Wave-influenced dance-pop sound with its Elektra Records debut, 2013’s Heatseekers #1 “More Than Just A Dream,” which featured the gold-certified and #1 Alternative Radio singles “The Walker” and “Out of My League.” The album’s success sent Fitz and the Tantrums on a two-year touring odyssey, which enabled the Los Angeles-based sextet — known for its explosive, no-holds barred live shows — to cement themselves as one of the country’s hottest live acts. Fitz and the Tantrums self-titled album was released in March 2016 featuring the hit single HandClap. The band continues to wow crowds on tour all year in a city near you.
