Baltimore Radio: Steve Davis OUT As The Fan Shuffles Line-Up

CBS RADIO/Baltimore announced a new schedule of on-air personalities at WJZ 105.7 FM The Fan beginning on today.

Rob Long, who, for the past several years had been heard from 10am-2pm, will now join Ed Norris as a co-host of the 6am-10am morning show.

Baltimore native, and heralded sports talk host, Bob Haynie, moves into mid days (10am-2pm) with Vinny Cerrato, filling the void left by Rob Long moving to mornings.  Anchors Scott Garceau and Jeremy Conn will continue to host the top-rated afternoon show, from 2pm-6pm.

After Baltimore Baseball Tonight, and when the Orioles are off, Jerry Coleman will handle nights (6pm-10pm) on 105.7 The Fan.

This shuffling means that Steve Davis is out as co-host of the “Norris & Davis” morning show.

Davis, who has been on Baltimore and Washington TV and radio since 1994, joined 105.7 in 2010 after being laid off by WBAL radio in what management there characterized as a cost-cutting move. He had been on WBAL for five years as host of “Sportsline with Steve Davis,” a popular talk show.

He has been paired in mornings at 105.7 The Fan with Ed Norris, Baltimore's former police commissioner, since July 2010.

CBS Radio, which owns 105.7 The Fan, has been cutting costs across the country in recent months as its parent explores a sale or IPO of the division.

The new full schedule:

• 6:00-10:00AM – Ed Norris & Rob Long
• 10:00AM-2:00PM – Vinny Cerrato & Bob Haynie
• 2:00-6:00PM – The Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn
• 6:00-10:00PM – Jerry Coleman
• *5:45pm-6:30PM – Baltimore Baseball tonight (on game nights only)
