Cherry Creek Radio Names Jonathan Brewster CEO

Jonathan Brewster
Cherry Creek Radio has appointed former Quantum Communications senior VP Jonathan Brewster to CEO of the small market broadcaster. Brewster, whose radio management background is in small and mid-sized markets, replaces Joe Schwartz, who resigned from the president & CEO post in February, 12 years after founding the company. Executive VP/CFO Kirk Warshaw has been running the company in the interim period, with assistance from private equity firm Sankaty Advisors.

“We are thrilled to have someone of Jonathan’s caliber leading the next phase of Cherry Creek’s growth,” Warshaw said in a statement.

“The Cherry Creek team exemplifies what local radio is all about—people committed to delivering compelling programming that reflects their communities and helps advertisers promote their businesses,” Brewster said in a statement. “I’m excited to join the team and will focus on enabling innovation in this great organization.”

Cherry Creek operates 53 radio stations in 11 markets in the Rocky Mountain region.
