R.I.P.: Radio, Music Veteran Ric Lippencott

Ric Lippencott
The radio&records industry is mourning the passing of Ric Lippincott, who passed away Monday morning ending a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Lippencott served two tours of duty as OM/PD of WLS 890 in Chicago with a stint as PD of KYUU in San Francisco.

According to the industry website RAMP, he later transitioned to the label side, doing National Promotion for Zoo Records, served as VP of Promotion for Curb Records and SVP of Promotion at Maverick Records. In 2006 Lippincott returned to radio one more time to program Bonneville's WILV/Chicago; a year later, he returned home to Los Angeles where he joined Chicago Title and Trust. He also indulged his lifelong love of flying, accepting a position as a Captain with Chrysler Aviation.
