ESPN To Cover Super Bowl 50

ESPN’s weeklong coverage of Super Bowl 50 – Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos vs. Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers – kicks off Monday, February 1, from the SAP Center in San Jose, Calif., and continues in the Bay Area through the post-Super Bowl NFL PrimeTime and SportsCenter shows on Sunday, February 7.

ESPN will make its Super Bowl home at Marina Green in San Francisco, where signature shows SportsCenter, NFL Insiders, NFL Live, Postseason NFL Countdown and PTI will originate. All shows are free and open for public viewing.

ESPN’s Super Bowl commentator team includes former NFL players, coaches and team executives with a combined 30 Super Bowl appearances and 17 championship rings. The roster of television hosts, analysts, insiders and reporters includes: Michelle Beisner, Chris Berman, Tedy Bruschi, John Buccigross, Cris Carter, Lindsay Czarniak, Trent Dilfer, Mike Ditka, Herm Edwards, Merril Hoge, Tom Jackson, Ron Jaworski, Keyshawn Johnson, Suzy Kolber, Steve Levy, Ray Lewis, Wendi Nix, Sal Paolantonio, Bill Polian, Louis Riddick, Adam Schefter, Mark Schlereth, Hannah Storm, Jim Trotter, Ed Werder, Trey Wingo and Steve Young.

ESPN TV Shows Originating from San Francisco:
  • SportsCenter: ESPN’s flagship news and information program will be On the Road from multiple Bay Area locations during Super Bowl week. On Monday, Lindsay Czarniak (6 p.m. ET) will host from the site of Super Bowl Opening Night in San Jose, while Hannah Storm and Steve Levy will anchor that night’s three-hour SportsCenter Special (8-11 p.m. ET, ESPN2) with Tedy Bruschi and Steve Young. On Tuesday, Storm will contribute segments throughout the day, and Czarniak will host the 6 p.m. ET show, from Pier 39 in Fisherman’s Wharf. On Saturday, Levy and John Buccigross will anchor the 11:30 p.m. ET show from Oracle Arena in Oakland after the Oklahoma City-Golden State NBA game. All other shows will originate from Marina Green with Storm and Czarniak hosting morning and evening editions, respectively, and Levy and Buccigross on late-night shows.
  • NFL Insiders (2:30 p.m. ET) Bill Polian, Louis Riddick and Adam Schefter provide league updates and insights Wednesday through Friday. Suzy Kolber (Wed, Fri) and Wendi Nix (Thu) host the show from Marina Green.
  • NFL Live (3:30 p.m. ET) host Trey Wingo and a rotating cast of former NFL players and coaches analyze the day’s news Wednesday through Friday from Marina Green.
  • PTI (5:30 p.m. ET) with Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon originates from Marina Green Wednesday through Friday.
  • First Take (10 a.m. ET): ESPN2’s weekday morning debate show featuring Skip Bayless, Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim will be live from The General’s Residence at Fort Mason Wednesday through Friday.
Super Bowl Sunday
  • NFL Matchup (6:30 a.m. and 8:30 ET, ESPN2) with Trey Wingo, Ron Jaworski and Merril Hoge, and The Sports Reporters (9:30 a.m. ET, ESPN2), hosted by John Saunders, will originate from Marina Green.
  • NFL Insiders: Sunday Edition (10 a.m. ET, ESPN): Trey Wingo hosts with Insiders Bill Polian, Louis Riddick and Adam Schefter.
  • Postseason NFL Countdown (11 a.m. ET, ESPN): Hosts Chris Berman and Suzy Kolber preview the Denver Broncos-Carolina Panthers matchup from Marina Green and Levi’s Stadium, respectively. Co-host Wendi Nix, NFL analysts Cris Carter, Mike Ditka, Tom Jackson and Keyshawn Johnson, and NFL Insider Adam Schefter join Berman from the Marina District, while Trent Dilfer, Ray Lewis and Steve Young join Kolber from Santa Clara. Bureau reporters Sal Paolantonio (Broncos), Ed Werder (Panthers) and Jim Trotter provide team updates.
  • NFL PrimeTime and SportsCenter: After Super Bowl 50, Chris Berman, Tom Jackson and Steve Young will have highlights, interviews and more on NFL PrimeTime (10:30 p.m. ET) from Levi’s Stadium and Steve Levy and John Buccigross will anchor the post-game SportsCenter (11:30 p.m. ET) from Marina Green.
ESPN Radio Shows Originating from San Francisco

ESPN Radio will broadcast 38 hours of live, on-site coverage from San Francisco, beginning Wednesday, Feb. 3 – Saturday, Feb. 6.
  • Mike & Mike: (W-F from 6-10 a.m. ET, simulcast on ESPN2): Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic – hosts of ESPN Radio’s popular national morning show – are live from Fort Mason.
  • Russillo & Kanell (W-F from 1-4 p.m. ET): Ryen Russillo and Danny Kanell host the daily Russillo & Kanell live from Radio Row at the Moscone Center.
  • The Trifecta (Sat from 12-3 p.m. ET): espnW’s new show on ESPN Radio, featuring hosts Kate Fagan, Jane McManus and Sarah Spain, is also live from Radio Row.
  • ESPN Radio’s Super Bowl 50 Golden Moments Show (Sat from 3-5 p.m. ET): Hosted by John Saunders with Wendi Nix, Herm Edwards and Bill Polian, the program – airing live from Radio Row – is a culmination of ESPN Radio’s 50-day countdown to Super Bowl 50, covering the history of America’s biggest game on the cusp of its Golden Anniversary.
In addition, ESPN NY 98.7FM’s The Michael Kay Show (3-7 p.m. ET) airs live Wednesday-Friday, with hosts Michael Kay, Don La Greca and Peter Rosenberg broadcasting from Radio Row.

ESPN Deportes Radio also broadcasts the game live with Kenneth Garay calling the action alongside Sebastian Martinez Christensen and Eduardo Martell reporting from the field.
