R.I.P.: Radio, V-O Veteran Tom Kelly Pagnotti

Tom Kelly, a veteran host on WBEN 930 AM in the 1980s has died at his home in Maine.

He recently turned 57, according to WBEN.

Kelly-- whose real name was Tom Pagnotti-- was a mid day host on WBEN from 1982 to 1986, before stints on KHOW 630 AM in Denver and 13 years on WBIG 100.3 FM  in Washington DC when it was known as "Big Oldies".

 "Tom had the greatest, most dynamic voice of anyone I've ever worked with,. But he was incredibly comfortable working on television too. He devoted a huge amount of effort hosting the MDA telethons when they were aired.  He really cared about making a difference," said former WBEN Anchor and traffic copter reporter Mark Hamrick.

Kelly started his radio career in Springfield Mass. in 1977 and held jobs in Hartford CT. before joining WBEN.

 In recent years he  served as a freelance promotions and commercial announcer for a range of stations and networks nationwide, with a home & studio in Bath,Maine.
