Jeb Bush Tops Weekly Piolin Presidential Poll

Jeb Bush
Alliance Radio Networks today announced the results of the weekly Piolin Presidential Poll, which tracks Hispanic Americans’ voting preferences for the 2016 U.S. Presidential election.

One of the most widely recognized Hispanic radio personalities in the U.S.-- Radio Hall of Famer and author Eddie Sotelo-- known to millions as “Piolin”-- and his nationally syndicated weekday morning radio show, El Show de Piolin, surveyed tens of thousands of Hispanic Americans with the Piolin Presidential Poll, one of the largest and most representative Presidential Polls of Hispanic American voters.

Respondents submitted their responses to a single question—“Whom do you plan to vote for for President of the United States?”

According to the online poll tracking respondent preferences for the Republican Presidential candidates for the week of Thursday, October 22 through Wednesday, October 28, 2015:
  • 48.2% of respondents said that they planned to vote for Gov. Jeb Bush
  • In second place in this week’s poll is Sen. Marco Rubio, with 16.7%
  • Donald Trump came in third with 9.6%
  • Ben Carson followed at 9.2%
  • Sen. Ted Cruz came in at 4.8%,
  • Carly Fiorina and Sen. Lindsey Graham, both favored by 2.2%.

Trailing are: Gov. Mike Huckabee and Sen. Rick Santorum each brought in 1.3%, with Governors Chris Christie, Gov. John Kasich, George Pataki, and Sen. Rand Paul each making a 0.9% showing, and Governors Bobby Jindal and Scott Walker bringing up the rear at 0.4% for each, respectively.

The Piolin Presidential Poll will be conducted every week until the 2016 Presidential Elections and will alternate between parties each week. Polling for the Democratic Presidential candidates begins today and will run through next Wednesday, November 4. The poll is not scientific, and participation will be driven by on-air and online promotions across Piolin’s massive broadcast, online and social platform, including daily promotions on El Show de Piolin. Only one vote per visitor per poll will be counted by the Piolin Presidential Poll online system.
