'The View' Loses More Sponsors

Michelle Collins, Joy Behar
ABC's "The View" is still in the hot seat as three more sponsors Friday pulled the plug on the show after its hosts, Joy Behar and Michelle Collins, made snarky remarks on nurses.

According to a Latino Post report,  Party City, Snuggle and McCormick have backed out as advertisers. Earlier on Thursday, Johnson & Johnson and Eggland's Best have decided not to put their spots on the American talk show.

The said advertisers have also released statements regarding their move. Snuggle released a statement, saying, "Please join us in thanking and celebrating nurses for the critical role they play in our healthcare system."

On McCormick's Facebook page, the company replied to a customer, saying, "Like you, we also value and admire nurses, so we have paused advertising on the daytime television show."

Last Monday during "The View," the hosts mocked a contestant of Miss America, Kelley Johnson of Colorado, who performed a monologue on her nursing profession.

Collins said, "She came out in a nurse's uniform and basically read her emails out loud and shockingly did not win." While Behar commented, "Why does she have a doctor's stethoscope around her neck?"

Miss America 2016 Betty Cantell weighed in the controversy.

"I'm really proud of Miss Colorado, Kelley Johnson, for getting out there and using the talent portion to preach about something she's passionate about - being a nurse - and I'm really proud of her and I say props to Kelley for speaking about what she believes in," she told People during the 5th Annual Streamy Awards.

Miss America CEO Sam Haskell also shared his thoughts, saying, "My mother was a nurse. It hurt all nurses to hear Michelle [Collins] and Joy criticize the talent choice of Kelley Johnson, Miss Colorado!"

Collins and Behar have apologized for their comments. Behar said that during the time, she was "inattentive."

"I didn't know what the hell I was talking about," she added.
