Wichita Radio: Morning Duo Brian & Kellie Leaving KFDI

Citing a desire to be closer to family in Illinois, Scripps Country KFDI 101.3 FM Wichita morning co-hosts Brian Pierce and Kellie Michaels have announced they’ll be leaving the station next month, with their sign-off set for Wednesday, July 29th.

Brian and Kellie joined KFDI eight years ago from WNNS in Springfield, IL.

Brian and Kellie are married. The couple said while in a Wichita, each has lost a parent and they will be moving back to Illinois to be with their surviving parents. The couple also said they have a daughter with special needs, that now needs more of their help.



In a note to listeners on the station’s  website , Brian And Kellie shared their reasons for a return to Illinois. “We find ourselves needing and wanting to be closer to our surviving parents … and then there are our kids. Three of the five live in Iillinois. As their families grow, we find ourselves missing out on important events.”
