Cumulus Media today announces the hiring of Glen Tacinelli as the General Sales Manager of New York’s WABC 770 AM. Tacinelli begins his position at the station July 13.

In his new role, Tacinelli will drive revenue for the popular News/Talk station. He will be responsible for leading a rapidly growing sales team while expanding new business efforts across advertiser categories.

“I am delighted to join the 77 WABC team and apply my knowledge of terrestrial and digital media trends to the sales department,” said Tacinelli. “I look forward to continuing my work in this dynamic, industry-leading market.”

"We are thrilled to welcome Tacinelli as the GSM to the iconic, legendary WABC brand,” said Chad Lopez, Vice President/Market Manager of Cumulus New York. “Glen's outstanding talent, knowledge of the New York radio market and expertise in selling some of the top AM stations across the country is exactly what we were looking to add to the Cumulus New York team.”

For the past seven years, Tacinelli has managed Eastman Radio’s New York office, representing radio stations in over 137 markets across the United States and leading a sales team. He also brings to 77 WABC Radio local market experience in both selling and managing from his tenure at WCBS-FM, where he hired and led a local sales staff, increased sales, maintained existing accounts and created new business.

Prior to joining WCBS-FM, Tacinelli held management positions at consumer research company Arbitron (now Nielsen), where he travelled nationally to train salespeople on how to create client-focused presentations and close business using localized data.
