Denver Radio: The Fan Observes 20-Years In Sports Radio

Sports KKFN 104.3 FM The Fan in  Denver will be observing its 20th anniversary on Monday, March 9.

The Fan will mark the occasion with special broadcasts featuring several former personalities and athletes who have been part of the two decade history. KKFN-FM launched in 1995 as KKFN-AM on 950 AM. The original weekday lineup included the Fabulous Sports Babe (Nanci Donnellan), Woody Paige & Todd Mansfield, Doug Moe & Tom Green and Jeff Reckard.

On Monday, March 9, "The Fan" will welcome back former Fan personalities Woody Paige, Tom Green, Dan Issel, Charles Johnson, Irv Brown and Joe Williams. They will be joined by Rockies radio announcer Jerry Schemmel.

The Fan will also hold an anniversary party on Thursday, March 26, at the Sports Column in downtown Denver. Listeners will get the chance to celebrate with members of The Fan on-air staff and celebrities. Additional details will be announced on 104.3 FM as the date approaches.
