Syracuse Radio: Jim Reith Returns To CNY Airwaves

Jim Reith
More than three years after his talk radio show was canceled, broadcaster Jim Reith has returned to the Central New York airwaves, according to Syracuse.com.

Reith, a 27-year radio veteran, hosts a short segment called "Reith's Take" three days a week on ESPN Radio 97.7 FM and 100.1 FM. It airs Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during "Mike and Mike" at 8:45 a.m. and during "On the Block with Brent Axe" at 5:45 p.m.

The one-minute segment began last Tuesday, Feb. 3. It features Reith riffing on hot topics in sports.

"Jim's knowledge of sports really surprised me," said Ed Levine, president and CEO or Galaxy Communications, which broadcasts ESPN Radio. "What's not surprising is that his 'take' on all matters sports is often different than conventional wisdom."

Reith spent 27 years on WSYR 570 AM / 106.9 FM. His show, "The Jim Reith Show," was canceled in October, 2011. He said Monday he was glad to be back on the air.
