Toronto Radio: CJCL To Launch New Dean Blundell Show

Dean Blundell
Dean Blundell will be back on the airwaves with a new show on CJCL 590 AM The Fan after being kicked off the air after making controversial comments on 102.1 FM The Edge.

Blundell will co-host the radio station’s new morning show, Dean Blundell & Co, beginning March 2, according to Global News.

The radio host has been off the airwaves for over a year after his long-running show on 102.1 the Edge was cancelled after he and other radio hosts made “homophobic” remarks on the air.

The show was indefinitely suspended in Dec. 2013 but outright cancelled in Jan. 2014.

His producer at the time, Derek Welsman had served on a jury which convicted a man of sexually assaulting three men whom he met at bathhouses. During his show, Welsman and other radio personalities mocked men who visit bathhouses.
