Omaha Radio: Talker Tom Becka OUT At KOIL

Tom Becka, the host of "The Tom Becka Show" on Omaha's KOIL 1290 AM, will no longer work for the talk radio station. Becka said in a statement that his contract has not been renewed.

"I once again find myself looking for a job," Becka said in a recording he posted on his site Thursday afternoon.

Becka is a long-time Omaha radio personality who was a talk show host at KFAB from 2004 to 2011. He started at KOIL in April 2012.

Andy Ruback, general manager of KOIL, confirmed to Omaha.com that Becka's contract was not renewed. Ruback said that KOIL will be announcing what will be done with the day timeslot in the near future.
