Chicago Radio: John Farneda To Leave Rock WXRT

After 31-years, WXRT 93.1 FM Operations Manager and Music Director John Farneda has announced his departure from the CBS Radio station.

The change is  effective Wednesday, November 26.

Farneda has been called “the heart and soul of ’XRT”.  He has produced or co-produced all 16 volumes of ONXRT: Live From The Archives, raising almost $1,000,000 for charitable organizations, and won numerous industry awards.

“I realized that I have achieved all my goals at the radio station and it is now time to set ones,” Farneda said in a statement.
