Longtime Programmer Todd Wallace Honored By AZ HOF

Todd Wallace
Veteran Radio broadcaster Todd Wallace will today be inducted into the Arizona Broadcasters Association Hall Of Fame for the “Class of 2014”.

His storied career as a Programming Consultant includes work with over 100 radio stations worldwide throughout Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, according to radioinfo.com.au.

Stateside, he consulted stations like Kiss 108/Boston, KIIS/LA, KHKS/Dallas, KLIF/Dallas, K104&KRNB/Dallas, WKYS/DC, WSNI/Philadelphia, WPIX/NYC, KTSA/San Antonio, 93Q/Houston, among many others.

Wallace is internationally recognized as the founding father of “callout passive music research” and his MARS system has been used by over 200 radio stations.

He has been based in Phoenix since 1970 and served as Program Director of 6 different #1 radio stations (KRUX, KRIZ, KUPD, KFYI, KTAR, and KOOL-FM) and served as consultant for the launch of KRQ/Tucson.

Wallace commented, “I am very proud of this ABA honor.  Especially rewarding since I’ll be alongside so many of my good friends and colleagues who are past inductees – like Bill Phalen, Gary Edens, Dave Pratt, Pat McMahon, W. Steven Martin, Charlie Van Dyke, Al McCoy, Mary Jo West, Bobby Rich, Preston Westmoreland, and Chuck Blore.”

Last year Wallace celebrated his 50th Anniversary in Radio and is now semi-retired (more “retired” than “semi”).
