Wichita Radio: The Brew Goes Flat, CCM+E Flips 107.3 FM

CCM+E/Wichita has flipped KTHR 107.3 FM The Brew from a classic rock format to an alternative genre over the Labor Day weekend.

The new station name is Alt 107.3, according to the Wichita Business Journal.

The changeover also marks the end of the weekday morning airing of the nationally syndicated Bob & Tom Show.

The change to Alt 107.3 takes away a direct station competitor for Journal Broadcast Group’s KICT 104.5 FM The Fox.

KTHR is still listed as the Wichita affiliate station for the Chiefs Radio Network.

KTHR had been The Brew since 2009. The station was known as “107.3 The Road” before that.

The station has aired classic rock since 2004.
