Brent Axe, who will continue to work for Syracuse.com, will
begin hosting a daily radio segment on WTLA 1200 AM and Translator 97.7 FM ESPN between 5 and 6 p.m. called On the Block with Brent Axe. He will also have a
role in ESPN Radio's pre-game and post-game shows for football.
"We're thrilled to bring Axeman back with a daily radio
show in Syracuse," Galaxy Communications President/CEO Ed Levine said.
"His perspective is unique and his history in Syracuse is unmatched by
anybody in sports talk radio."
Axe worked in local radio for more than 12 years before
joining Syracuse.com in 2012 as a community engagement specialist. He continued
to make guest appearances on a variety of programs during that time.
Along with his work on Syracuse.com and his new radio
program, Axe will continue to make frequent appearances with "Gomez and
Dave in the Morning" on TK99 (99.5 FM).
