Lee Marshall
Media Confidntial is saddened to report that Lee Marshall has passed away Saturday of esophageal cancer.

He was 67.

A gifted broadcaster with an unmistakable voice, Marshall was a member of the famed 20/20 News Team at CKLW 800 AM in Windsor-Detroit before arriving at KHJ/LA in 1970.

Marshall was worked at such stations as KABC and KGFJ (now KYPA) and KBLA in Los Angeles, KRIZ in Phoenix and CKLW in Windsor, Ontario, Canada (Detroit).  At KGFJ/KBLA, he was "King News", bringing attention to the issue of gang violence.

Marshall appears at the 1:30 time-mark:

He later joined WCW (World Championship Wrestling), where he was known as "Stagger Lee". Marshall was the co-host of WCW Thunder alongside Bobby Heenan and Tony Schiavone. He interviewed and announced alongside Mike Tenay and Scott Hudson on WCW Saturday Night as well. A staple of WCW Monday Nitro was his regular cracking of "Weasel" jokes directed at Heenan, which would conclude his road reports. He was also known for traveling across the country to host Nitro parties for WCW, while keeping in contact with WCW Monday Nitro through updates by telephone.

And starting in 2005 after the passing of Thurl Ravenscroft, Marshall was also the voice of iconic cereal mascot Tony the Tiger on Frosted Flakes commercials.

Most recently, Marshall was teaching voiceover classes at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks.
