The Savage Call

In what has been termed a radio pep call, Michael Savage yesterday was introduced by Cumulus CEO John Dickey, to affiliates and prospective new affiliates.

Savage like the conference call introduction so much, he aired it on his Thursday show.

Dickey heaped praise on the veteran talker as the company introduced the talker to PD's all over the country in anticipation of his January 1 move to afternoon drive.  Dickey said Savage ““There’s a fine line between intellectual genius and crazines and he walks that line wonderfully.”  Dickey addedSavage “is a great storyteller…we forget that we are in the business of theater of the mind, getting people to spend more time with us” by telling stories that connect with the listener.
