AT40’s Casey Kasem Reported To Be In ‘Dire’ Condition

Sad news to report on iconic personality Casey Kasem, he reportedly has Parkinson’s Disease and according to numerous reportts, there’s a nasty family feud, according to TMZ.

The co-founder and longtime host of American Top 40 is in “dire condition” and he’s apparently being isolated by his children by his wife, Jean Kasem.  TMZ reports the 81-year-old Kasem hasn’t been heard form in month.

Seems a recent attempt by some family members to see Kasem prompted Jean Kasem to call police.

Casey's brother, who was on the scene, told TMZ Jean has had a strained relationship with Casey's kids for years.  The brother says he hasn't spoken with Jean since Casey married her -- 33 years.  Kerri, Casey's oldest daughter, tells us Jean has aggressively blocked the kids from the house.

Kerri tells us it's not about money.  The kids have all been excluded from Casey's will and they've known that for a long time.  She says they just want to see their dad, and they can't.

Chuck Olsen, Casey's friend for 63 years, says no one has been in touch with his dear friend since April.

"He and I went to school together. We were actors on 'The Lone Ranger' on the radio together," Olsen told ABC7 News.
