CBS 48 Hours Profiles Case Of Former WJNO Employee

Angel Downs, Stephen Nodine
CBS’ 48 Hours this past weekend profiled the case of former WJNO-1290 AM radio’s Stephen Nodine, who was lucky in an OJ Simpson sort of a way.

An Alabama jury deadlocked in Nodine’s murder and stalking trial in 2010, then he pleaded to a lesser charge to avoid a re-trial, according to gossipextra.com.

Nodine, 48, who handled promotions and worked in-the-field broadcasts for the Palm Beach County, FL radio station in the 1980s, was accused of killing his mistress Angel Downs on Mother’s Day 2010 in the gambling resort town of Gulf Shores, Ala.

The married father moved to Alabama in the 1990s, and was even elected to the Mobile County Commission.
