According to a press release by Peak Broadcasting, who runs
KMJ radio, Barks has been place on administrative leave pending the outcome of
a Bakersfield Police criminal investigation and an internal inquiry by the
company.
"We have been made aware of an incident involving talk
show host, Inga Barks, who was arrested last week by the Bakersfield Police
Department on misdemeanor charges. As a result, Inga has been placed on paid
leave pending the outcome of a BPD criminal investigation and our own internal
inquiry as to the facts in this case. Since this is a personnel matter, there
will be no further statements until both are completed."
The Bakersfield Californian reported on Monday that Barks
was arrested on charges of drunk and disorderly conduct at The Marketplace
shopping center in Bakersfield. Michaela Beard with the Bakersfield Police
Department said when officers arrived, Barks was displaying signs of
intoxication and was uncooperative.
Barks told the Bakersfield Californian she had an adverse
reaction to medications and was not driving at the time.
She says it was from a medication adverse reaction.
ReplyDeleteOk, I am willing to see if that is true. If not she should be fired for lying! Otherwise seeing a self righteous conservative flat on the ground passed out drunk sounds pretty good to me!

Who says Don is liberal? Someone like Inga is supposed to live by her "conservative values" -- when a self-described conservative doesn't, that is out of character. Adverse reactions to alcohol don't make you cause such a scene that you get arrested. Her whole response was wrong. She had too much to drink, big deal. Own your mistakes, admit you were wrong, and move on. Seek rehab if needed. Don't concoct a story that anyone with half a brain can see through.
ReplyDeleteTed Kennedy is a prime example why you don't make up lies -- his lie haunted him for the rest of his life. Look at Rush -- he admits his transgressions. His audience doesn't care about his pills, sexual harassment, and other mistakes. She should have followed his lead rather than blaming it on medication and an overzealous officer. There goes her integrity...
As far as I can tell the only person hurt by her actions; intentional or not was Inga. She did not drive or hit anybody. The woman lost her spouse, this is reason enough to cut her a little slack. Probably the only reason she was arrested was so that she would not be taken advantage of or hurt while in this state. All charges are likely to be dropped, she did not do anything wrong. So, all of you loser, hate mongers jealous of a successful woman; get a life and pick on someone who is actually doing harm to others.
