Ariana Grande Rules Hot 100 Songwriters & Producers Charts

Ariana Grande is the queen of the Billboard charts this week. She sits at No. 1 on both the Billboard 200 and Hot 100–the two most competitive tallies in the U.S. Forbes reports the singer doesn’t just dominate the Hot 100 songs ranking with a new leader–she sends almost her entire new album to the list, and in doing so, she ties another one of the most popular women in the music industry.

On the current Hot 100, Grande scores 11 debuts. She fills 12 spots on the 100-rung ranking of the most-consumed songs in the U.S., as her total includes the single “Yes, And?,” which was released in January and became a quick No. 1. With 11 new placements on the tally, Grande is now tied with Beyoncé for the third-most Hot 100 hits among solo women.

Grande and Beyoncé have both accrued 85 appearances on the Hot 100 throughout their respective careers. Of course, Beyoncé also landed a number of hits as a member of Destiny’s Child before she broke out on her own. She and her husband Jay-Z also teamed up to form a short-lived superduo named The Carters, which likewise reached the ranking several years ago. Those songs don’t count towards Beyoncé’s sum for the purposes of this historic ranking

Taylor Swift continues to lead all women when looking at those who have reached the Hot 100 most frequently. The singer-songwriter has thus far pushed 232 tracks to the chart. That sum will surely increase next month when her new album The Tortured Poets Department is scheduled to be released.

Grande tops the latest Hot 100 Songwriters and Hot 100 Producers charts thanks to her credits on all 12 of her charting songs on the Hot 100, all from Eternal Sunshine. Notably, she’s the only co-songwriter and co-producer on all 12 songs. Here’s a recap.
