Kathy Romano’s Her Story Weekly Program Moves to Sunday Mornings on 93.3 WMMR-FM in Philadelphia

“Her Story” illuminates the remarkable narratives of women catalyzing tangible change in their communities and beyond. Originally launched on BEN-FM in February 2017, this weekly spotlight has now found its new home on WMMR-FM.

Kathy Romano
A multifaceted talent, Romano has been a cornerstone of the award-winning Preston & Steve® Show since 2003, transitioning to WMMR in 2005. Alongside her role as a Co-host on WMMR’s morning show, Romano is the creative force behind “Her Story” and the visionary behind the Fresh Smiles Foundation, dedicated to enriching the lives of underprivileged children through organized activities.

Beyond her media endeavors, Romano’s commitment to philanthropy is unparalleled. She serves as a board member for the Philadelphia Police Foundation and has played a pivotal role in fundraising for the M. Night Shyamalan Foundation’s flagship event, “Shyamaween.” Notably, Romano spearheaded WMMR’s Kathy’s Cuts initiative, driving over 1000 hair donations for children undergoing medical treatments like chemotherapy through “Wigs for Kids.”

“Everyone has a story to tell, and I am privileged to share the extraordinary journeys of these women with our listeners each week,” Romano shares. “While I cherished my time at BEN-FM, I am incredibly excited to amplify these incredible stories on the vibrant platform of WMMR.”

Join us as we embark on a new chapter of inspiration and empowerment with “Her Story” on 93.3 WMMR-FM. Tune in and be uplifted by the resilience and triumphs of women who are shaping our world.
