ARC CEO Jason Bailey to Keynote IBA’s “In Focus”

The Independent Broadcasters Association (IBA) has announced that Jason Bailey, Founder and CEO of ARC Software, will deliver a keynote on Why Radio Has a Bright Future at the complimentary diner during the IBA Members-Only In-Focus Conference, September 21 at the Intercontinental at Doral in Miami.

Bailey will join a stellar list of recently announced speakers at the one-day IBA event, which will address the needs of owners, managers, and sales managers with real-world, immediately implemental solutions.

“Jay is a respected industry leader, known for his innovation and vision,” commented Ron Stone, President and Executive Director of the IBA. “We’re fortunate to have him speak to our attendees about the future of the radio business, and why he has such a positive outlook for the medium’s continued success in the audio space.”

“I’m excited to be a part of the IBA’s In-Focus conference,” stated Bailey. “Independent broadcasters across the country are the heartbeat of the radio industry, and Ron has given them a voice by creating the IBA and setting up a conference that focuses on their specific needs.”

ARC Software is a research, sales, and automation tool for the media industry, in use by nearly every syndication network in America. Bailey is also the founder and former CEO of Sun Broadcast Group, a national radio sales and syndication network. Through his 12-year tenure, Bailey grew Sun to a top five network, named by INC Magazine as one of the fastest growing radio companies in America. He was also recognized by Radio Ink Magazine as one of the Top 20 Leaders in Radio. Bailey has been featured in numerous industry articles for his unique insight on the radio space, including the cover of Radio Ink Magazine where he was named “Network Radio’s Next Big Star.” He has proudly supported and served as an Honorary Trustee for the Alliance for Women in Media.

Bailey started his broadcast career as Morning Show Producer at WXLO-FM at the age of seventeen. He went on to co-host the station’s morning show for over half a decade. In 1994 he became the arena announcer for the AHL’s Worcester IceCats hockey team, a position he held for 10 years. In late 2000, Bailey was recruited to run WORC-AM, the first station to play the Beatles, which he launched into a 24-Hour News station on September 10, 2001. Throughout his radio career he has also been privileged to serve as consultant in different capacities with companies such as The NCAA, The World Junior Hockey Championships, Nextel, Boston Celtics, and the Boston Bruins.

The IBA Focus Conference is being held in conjunction with the two-day Radio Masters Sales Summit, which is co-presented by Radio Ink and the Center for Sales Strategy, on September 22 and 23 at the same location. IBA members will have the option of attending both events at a significantly reduced special IBA members-only package price. In addition, specially priced hotel rooms are available for attendees.

The IBA Members-Only Focus Conference will concentrate primarily on three points:
  1. How to refocus on and substantially grow traditional revenue
  2. How to start a digital division, and a roadmap on how to develop it into a fully functioning, revenue-generating unit
  3. How to recruit stronger sales-focused employees
The IBA Members Only “In-Focus” Conference will conclude with a complimentary dinner for members and speakers the evening of September 21.
