Milwaukee Radio: MeTV FM Format To Launch On WMYX-HD2

MeTV FM has been making headlines all over the country, and Entercom-owned WMYX 99.1 FM HD2 is in on the action. Milwaukee’s underserved baby boomer audience will now have access to a station playing a winning mix of timeless and memorable music from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and beyond. MeTV FM’s extensive library of over 3,500 active titles has all the songs that make up the soundtrack of these listeners’ lives.

“We are excited to partner with a station as successful as WMYX, in the great city of Milwaukee,” stated Neal Sabin, Vice Chairman of Weigel Broadcasting. “Our MeTV affiliate is ready to promote MeTV FM on WMYX HD-2 in a manner no other radio format can claim. Milwaukee radio is about to experience our unique music format that goes beyond oldies, AC, and nostalgia and we couldn’t be more excited.”

MeTV actively supports affiliates with daily promotional TV announcements that advertise the radio affiliate in each market. Both the television and radio formats present entertainment that resonates with a broad audience and reaches more than 27 million people each week.

MeTV is a turnkey 24/7 radio format with a mix of classic hit music from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and beyond from an extensive library of songs including singer-songwriters, country crossovers, Motown, iconic groups, and many other artists. Listeners enjoy a wide diversity of music programming from folk rock to funk, deep tracks to disco favorites, and sixties British Invasion to eighties pop. Program directors may have forgotten about much of this music, but the core radio audience of underserved baby boomer listeners has not.

MeTV FM began broadcasting in Chicago as WRME in 2015 on 87.7 FM. Now, in 2018, MeTV FM in Chicago continues its upward climb, hitting a 3.6 Share in Persons 6+ in the February book, its highest share to date, beating most heritage stations in the market on a limited signal.
