iHeartMedia Signs Steve Harvey To Long-Term Contract

iHeartMedia today announced an exclusive long-term agreement with award-winning multimedia personality Steve Harvey to renew and extend his relationship with the company.

Under the new agreement, the broadcast powerhouse will continue his current role as host of The Steve Harvey Morning Show - the #1 syndicated morning show in America. Celebrating 12 years in syndication with Premiere Networks in 2017, the program reaches nearly 7 million weekly listeners on nearly 100 stations across the country and is available digitally on iHeartRadio.

Additionally, Harvey will work with iHeartMedia on a variety of projects, including development and creation of new programming and promotions, community and charitable initiatives, as well as multimedia projects and events. He will also continue to serve as a spokesperson for the company.

“Steve is a tremendous talent and has an incredible connection with audiences across multiple platforms, which make him a great asset for iHeartMedia,” said Bob Pittman, Chairman and CEO of iHeartMedia. “We are excited to extend our partnership with Steve, continuing to deliver the most engaging content and top personalities to our listeners nationwide.”

“We’ve got some big plans in the works, and I think listeners are going to love what they hear,” shared Harvey. “I'm excited to continue working with my partners, iHeartMedia and Premiere as we take my show to new heights. In the words of Bruno Mars, ‘if you don’t believe me, just watch.’”

Created by Harvey in September 2000, The Steve Harvey Morning Show joined Premiere Networks national lineup in 2005. Broadcasting live from 6-10 a.m. ET Monday through Friday, Harvey and his co-hosts Shirley Strawberry, Nephew Tommy, Carla Ferrell and Junior bring listeners inspirational advice, laughs, celebrity interviews, news, rousing music, and more.

For his work on the program, Harvey was honored with the NAB Marconi Award for “Network/Syndicated Personality of the Year” in 2013 and 2015, and he was inducted into the NAB Broadcasting Hall of Fame. The popular “Strawberry Letter” segment, in which Harvey responds to listeners' relationship questions, led to his first book, “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man,” which is an international best-seller and was adapted into two box office topping movies - Think Like A Man (2012) and Think Like a Man Too (2014).
