The contest culminates in a live final round on Thursday, May 4, 2017, between the winner of Round 1 and current Iron Imager, Sideshow Mike (“Sidey”) Andersen, of Triple M Imaging, Southern Cross Austereo in Sydney, Australia. The final throwdown will be held at the Worldwide Radio Summit 2017 at the W Hollywood Hotel. The 2017 Iron Imager will be declared and presented at 10:55 a.m. on Friday, May 5, in the General Session Room.

Dave “Chachi” Denes, Benztown President, said: "Between Brexit, Donald Trump winning the election and Sidey upsetting Dan Kelly last year, I’m not sure the world is ready for Iron Imager 6. However, after long deliberation and assurances to the United Nations that PricewaterhouseCoopers will not be tallying the votes, we’ve made the decision to proceed. Godspeed."

Sideshow Mike (“Sidey”) Andersen, Iron Imager 2016 Champion, said: “Who’s gonna come and take this Iron Imager belt off me?! No seriously…come and get it! It doesn’t go with any of my outfits and I’ve been copping grief from the fashion police for 12 months! Please, can someone win this thing off me??!!!!! I mean, how hard could it be, right?!?”
