Nashville Radio: Veteran Tom English Joins The Cromwell Group

Tom English
Radio station owner The Cromwell Group has hired veteran music and broadcasting executive Tom English to be its chief revenue officer, according to The Nashville Post.

English joins Cromwell — which runs WRPT ESPN 102.5 FM The Game, W235BW 94.9 Game-2 FM, Rock WBUZ 102.9 FM  The Buzz, Classic Hits WQZQ 93.3 FM Classic Hits and Inspirational W271AB 102.1 FM The Light — after almost three years out of the radio business, during which he led a local marketing research company and was vice president of business development at Warner/Chappell Production Music.

Before that, he was general manager of Ryman Hospitality Properties’ WSM-AM for about 18 months and led Clear Channel’s Nashville operations for more than six years.

“I'm thrilled to have Tom join what we're doing here in Nashville,” Cromwell Market Manager Jana Hampton said. “I can't think of a better asset for our entire organization. Though overseeing revenue will be his primary function, we'll be able to gain so much from his experience in all departments.”
