The first quarter of radio ratings in which "The Bob & Tom Show" aired without longtime cast members Bob Kevoian and Kristi Lee indicate a competing show snagged No. 1 status in the 6 to 10 a.m. time slot.

The Indy Star reports The "Smiley Morning Show," heard on Top 40 station WZPL 99.5 FM, won the January-through-March ratings period for all Indianapolis listeners 6 and older as well as categories for listeners ages 18-34 and listeners 25-54, according to Nielsen Audio.

"Bob & Tom," heard on WFBQ 94.7 FM since March 7, 1983, ranked No. 2 for all listeners 6 and older, No. 5 among listeners 18-34 and No. 2 among listeners 25-54. Kevoian retired and Lee exited the nationally syndicated show after its final episode of 2015.

Show co-founder Tom Griswold and sports director Chick McGee continue to generate comedy, original songs and parodies on "Bob & Tom," a program carried by radio stations in about 100 U.S. cities. At its peak popularity, "Bob & Tom" dominated morning drive time and reached more than one of every five listeners in Indianapolis.

The "Smiley Morning Show," featuring on-air cast members Dave Smiley, "producer" Will Pfaffenberger, "helper" Toni Williams and pop-culture expert Nikki Reed, previously trailed "Bob & Tom" among listeners ages 25-54.
