NYC Radio: Status Quo For Top Five

Posting  its best share in over year in a non-holiday month, iHeartMedia’s AC WLTW 106.7 FM continued to reign in the top spot (6+ AQH, Total Week).  According to Nielsen figures for March, WLTW moved upward 7.0—7.6 to maintain more than a share lead over #2 WCBS 101.1 FM.  CBS Radio’s Classic Hits outlet was up 6.2—6.4 and remained in the runner-up position.

Emmis UrbanAC WBLS 107.5 FM wobbled a bit 5.8-5.7 to remain at #3…SBS Topical WSKQ 97.9 FM had an uptick 5.2—5.3 to stay in the #4 spot, while iHM’s Top40 Top 40 WHTZ 100.3 FM Z100 was off 5.2—5.1 and dropped back to the #5 spot.

WFAN remained firmly in control of the local sports talk radio market during the winter ratings book released Monday and covering the period from Jan. 1 through March 25.

All three of the station's signature programs -- morning, midday and afternoon -- finished second to music stations among men ages 25 to 54, and all three were well ahead of the competition at ESPN New York.
