CA Radio: Richard Trejo Retiring From KDAR Oxnard

Salem Communications announced today that Richard Trejo is retiring at the end of December. He has managed KDAR 98.3 FM  in  Oxnard, CA during his 14 years with the company.

Trejo's radio career started in 1981 as an Account Executive with KUZZ FM / KKXX FM Bakersfield, CA. He went on to hold positions as GSM for Buck Owens Broadcasting, GM for The Park Lane Group, and General Manager at KDAR during his 37 yrs. in radio.

Richard's next job assignment? "Full time grandfathering to our 9 grandkids," he quipped.

Salem VP Operations Manager, Terry Fahy, had this to say about Trejo's departure: "I tried to talk him out of it!  But when he played the 'grandfather card' I knew it was time for Richard to leave us to enjoy the fruits of his labor. His faithfulness, creativity and love of Christian formatted radio will be deeply missed."
