Compass Rescues WSJ This Morning

Gordon Deal
Following last week's announcement that Dow Jones is shutting down the Wall Street Journal Radio Network and MarketWatch Radio networks, Compass Media Networks confirms it has signed a multiyear  agreement with the Journal’s syndicated morning show host Gordon Deal and producer Mike Gavin to continue producing the show.

Announcing the closure, WSJ's Editor-in-Chief, stated the radio network programs do "not fit with the company’s future business plans".

The program serves as a morning drive launch pad for more than 250 mostly N/T stations, with many affiliates also airing a weekend edition on Saturday.

Compass has handled affiliate relations and advertising sales for Dow Jones since February. Other WSJRN programming may also continue.
