Chicago Radio: Newser WBBM Surges To #1 6+

Harsh winter weather contributes to CBS Radio News WBBM 780 AM / 105.9 FM surging to #1 in the January PPMs. The station gained more than a half-share 5.6—6.2 .

Close behind is CCM+E's Urban AC WVAZ 102.7 FM V103 slips to #2, droping 6.4—6.0.

Hubbard's Hot AC WTMX 101.9 FM Mix posted a spike moving 4.0—4.9, good for #3. CCM+E Urban WGCI remains at #4 with a 4.3—4.5 move. Cluster mate Top 40 WKSC 103.5 FM KISS moved back into the Top 5 with an spike 3.8—4.2.

Holiday book winner WLIT 93.9 FM MyFM dopped 11.6 to 4.1. But bested the 3.2 share is had a year ago.

25-54: WTMX...WGCI tied WKSC...WBBM-FM...WVAZ

18-34: WGCI...WBBM-FM...WKSC...WKQX (Q87.7) up from #11...WPWX

18-49: WGCI...WTMX...WKSC...WBBM-FM...WKQX (Q87.7) UP FROM #19

Cume: WKSC-FM 2,102,400...WBBM-FM 1,970,100...WTMX-FM 1,956,900...WLIT-FM 1,702,300 (down from 3,272,400)...WBBM-AM 1,555,000
