Philly Radio: WIP Wing Bowl To Also Air In Spanish

WIP 94.1 FM’s Wing Bowl is one of the most popular radio events in the country and receives worldwide media coverage.

In keeping with Wing Bowl 22’s theme of “doubles”, SportsRadio 94WIP’s Wing Bowl 22 will also be broadcast in Spanish on 94WIPHD-3 on Friday, January 31st at 6am. It’s the first time in event history that Wing Bowl will be heard in Spanish. WIP host Rickie Ricardo will be the Spanish play by play announcer. Wing Bowl 22 will be held Friday, January 31st in front of a sold out crowd at the Wells Fargo Center.

The English language version of WIP’s Wing Bowl 22 will be live on 94WIP, streamed live at CBSPhilly.com and available through the Radio.com app for a variety of mobile devices.

For the English speaking audience, “It’s an honor for me to be the first Spanish language voice of this grand event known as “Wing Bowl 22″! Neither the World Series in baseball nor the postseason action of the NFL have the worldwide impact of the battle between Man vs Chicken Wing. This will be a monumental moment in my career as well as for the huge Hispanic fan base. I pledge to add the spice and heat of our culture to each mouthful,” said Ricardo.
