Steve 'Frogman' Kelsey
Steve "Frogman" Kelsey, one of the Altonna, PA’s most enduring and popular radio hosts, died Sunday from a stroke.

He was 56, according to the Altoona Mirror.

According to the station's website, Kelsey, whose real name was Rob Terdiman,  was the host of "The Froggy Family Breakfast Club" morning show alongside Kellie Green and had been with WFGY Froggy 98.1 FM since its inception in 1991.

But he had worked at Froggy's predecessor, WFBG Radio, since the mid-1970s.

Donna Himes, operation manager at Forever Broadcasting and program director for Froggy 98, said in a statement that Kelsey is "irreplaceable," as he influenced people through both radio hosting and outside gigs as a DJ.

"He not only was our beloved morning announcer. He was part of weddings and teen dances spanning several generations, and loved community service and visiting the 'tadpoles' in schools," Himes said. "Our hearts are broken."

Kelsey "continues to give back generously to his community" through organ donation, his family said in a statement. Kelsey's family said it wishes to thank everyone for their love and support.
